"I don't have the right words to say to you how you have touched my life in so many ways. You helped me find my voice Rebecca, and I'm never going to let it go ... ever! " --Brittany C.

"Rebecca, your storytelling comes from the heart. When you told your story "the robe of golden thread" it was beautiful and clearly an extension of your essence and your work. Dancing and drumming and sharing the gifts of sisterhood were divinely inspired. My psyche felt both at rest and enlivened...it was a precious gift you gave to me."

Evolve Hypnosis & Wellness Center BBB Business Review

Creative, Informative, Powerful

For those wishing to further explore Rebecca’s work but might not have the time for a full retreat, her workshops, weekend intensives, study groups, and empowerment groups are a wonderful way to experience her powerful teachings. Since 1997 Rebecca has been leading workshops and women's groups. Her first offerings were based on the seminal book on women’s psychology by Clarissa Pinkola Estes’ Women Who Run With the Wolves. So inspired by Estes’ work Rebecca became a dedicated storyteller and continues to charm and inspire people with her storytelling skills.

Path Of the Heart Weekend Intensive

"One of the most courageous decisions you'll ever make is to finally let go of what is hurting your heart and soul." ~ Brigitte Nicole

The Path Of the Heart Intensive is about returning to the True Self. If you would like to find personal peace, release past issues that continue to weigh you down, and reclaim your right to feel good about life then this weekend is for you.

They are called intensives because they accomplish an immense amount of work in a short amount of time. Path of the Heart Intensive is modeled after the Survivors Week, that Pia Mellody, author of Facing Codependency, created to heal family of origin wounds at The Meadows treatment center, and after the Breaking Free Intensive at Shades of Hope, eating disorder and all addiction treatment center. The results of participating in one of these intensives can be exponential. Expect to jump 6 to 12 months ahead in your healing journey.

During this intensive we will investigate the origins of adult dysfunctional behaviors (ie addictions, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, etc).  Participants will take an in-depth look at their history, including childhood wounds which fuel adult dysfunction.  The focus is not on blaming caregivers, but rather on healing the trauma and its residual effects. The goal of the intensive is to work on the resolution of the trauma and giving back carried feelings that were incurred from our major caregivers during less-than-nurturing events, abuse, abandonment, enmeshment, and/or neglect.

  • Do you sometimes feel as if you are on the outside looking in?
  • Do you desire more awareness about why you continually attract emotionally unavailable people or have unsatisfying, dysfunctional relationships?
  • Have you been told or have you begun to realize that you do not know how to set boundaries with others or with yourself?
  • Do you have persistent feelings of victimization? "Why me?", "Nothing good ever happens to me!", "Will I ever get over my past?"
  • Do you have feelings of anger, shame, loneliness, guilt or sadness?
  • Have longed for peace and closure around your family of origin and early experiences?
  • Do you suffer from depression, self doubt, dissatisfaction and hopelessness?
  • Do you have addictions of your own or seem to attract others who do?

"The greatest thing I gained is the understanding of how much pain, sadness, and loneliness my inner child has gone through and still goes through. I was able to identify and obtain much needed release from a lot of hidden anger toward my father and pent up anger toward my husband.

Mostly, though, the biggest breakthrough for me was the discovery of my abandoned inner child.  It seems that she actually jumps for joy at times now, just knowing that I know she is there, although mostly I just feel her pain and loneliness.  I am able to recognize her emotions a lot and am learning how to soothe her. Thank you, again, Rebecca for helping me reconnect with my inner child."  ~ Sharon V.B., May 2015

From 1999 to 2002 Rebecca worked closely with Tennie McCarty and Cindy Henson as a therapist at Shades of Hope Treatment Center. Tennie and Cindy are highly regarded as master therapists in their fields and recently Tennie has enjoyed acclaim due to her reality based TV show Addicted To Food on Oprah's OWN Network, as well as appearances on Dr. Oz and Intervention. During her work at Shades of Hope, Rebecca facilitated Family Week, the 6 Day Eating Disorder Intensive, and co-facilitated the Breaking Free Intensive.

This Intensive is appropriate for those who are working on codependency, dysfunctional family, family of origin, inner child, traumatic events, love addiction, painful and abusive relationships, and life transition issues. If you are not currently working with Rebecca individually please call to discuss your inclusion in the intensive. Rebecca is very happy to accept participants who are currently working with other therapists and she is happy to coordinate your care.

Path Of the Heart Breathwork

Reclaiming our True Selves through the power of the breath...

After training with author and Breathwork creator Linda Starwolf, Rebecca became a certified Breathwork facilitator and created Path Of the Heart Breathwork. Breathwork is a powerful approach to self-exploration and healing that integrates insights from modern consciousness research, anthropology, various depth psychologies, and transpersonal psychology.

Thank you! I've been experiencing immense joy, peace, and love since yesterday. I didn't realize the impact fully at the time. WOW!”  --Julia S., Fort Worth recent participant

Path of the Heart Breathwork, similar to Holotropic Breathwork, is a compelling  journeying experience that allows you to access your own inner healing source. Many have likened it to a real vision quest experience. Throughout time people have sought healing, solace and answers by going alone into the wilderness to experience a vision. Path of the Heart Breathwork allows you to stay out of the weather, while experiencing similar life altering clarity! In the comfort of an energy enhancing group, or privately if you prefer, participants take a soul journey to discover whatever is calling within them and desiring expression at this time in their lives. Upon return they typically feel renewed, transformed and wiser for the journey.

The transformation begins as participants come together in an atmosphere of safety and respect. Guided imagery exercises to facilitate relaxation and de-stressing are followed by deep connected breathing coupled with beautiful evocative music. With each inhalation and exhalation old wounds and hurtful ways of being are released and individuals begin to reclaim lost pieces of their soul.

  • Increased aliveness, joy & creativity
  • Body, Mind, Heart healing
  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Greater self-love and serenity in relationships
  • Reduction of anger and rage
  • Release of chronic conditions and hurtful feelings
  • Healing for painful memories, Inner Child/ Adolescent/ Young Adult
  • Accelerated spiritual growth and awakening to one’s true self
  • Realization of the Wise Woman, Wise Man aspect

"On a personal level some of my deepest healing experiences have come through Breathwork.  It's as if it changes your psyche on some elemental level. Things I'd struggled with for years began to heal through cumulative Breathwork experiences." Rebecca Jeffers

What transpires is a journey into the heart of Self where ego defenses relax and destructive patterns and unhealthy behaviors can be released. The journey can unfold in many ways ranging from deeply spiritual and joyous, to the release of pent up emotions such as grief, shame, fear, rage, and anxiety.

Creation of a mandala follows the breathwork experience
. The mandala, Sanskrit for sacred circle, has been used for thousands of years in many spiritual traditions as a form of meditation, healing, and transformation. Mandalas are found in both religious and secular cultures to illustrate wholeness and truth.

It has been said that creating a mandala is an inward journey in itself. Each mandala is unique and offers a glimpse into each participant's breathwork/ vision quest experience. The day will conclude with the sharing of mandalas and the journey experience.

The brain relaxes during Breathwork.  This means there is a change in your brain wave pattern. People who meditate, do hypnosis or guided imagery are aware that being in that state changes the brain wave pattern. You remain conscious and aware of what is going on around you but you feel different and, in addition, the sub-conscious mind is open to new learning and healing. In Breathwork, as in life, we begin the journey in Beta (consciously alert, or possibly feeling agitated, tense, afraid) and/or Alpha (a state of mental relaxation, aware of what is happening around us) and as the Breathwork experience unfolds we move into deeper and slower brain waves associated with Theta ( a slow and relaxing state associated with dreaming, daydreaming, being sleepy, relaxed, open). Delta waves occur in deep sleep. Most people do not go into Delta while doing Breathwork unless the body is physically tired. Even in Delta the Breathwork experience is powerful as the unconscious and subconscious mind never sleep.

I feel very strongly that proper breathing is a master key to good health. Over and over again, I’m impressed by the power of the breath and its ability to correct specific health problems and promote our general wellness. -- Andrew Weil, M.D. author Breathing: The Master Key to Self-Healing

The path of the heart is not for the faint-of-heart. It takes courage to mine for one’s treasures.
